Generating Free Backlinks with Article Submission

Posted in Directory Submission, Free, Free Article Directory, Articopia, Article Directory Submission by on November 15th, 2007No Comments

No matter how you look at it, the best way to increase traffic to your site AND rank high in the search results is to have more targeted links pointing to your website.

Notice that I said “targeted” links. There are several different methods of generating backlinks to your site. If you have cash to spend you can pay for links on a high PR site with lots of traffic or pay for featured placing in a good directory. There are also a multitude of free methods of building one-way links to your site.

While there is some debate, many SEO experts agree that article submission, blogging and forum contribution are among the best free methods of building backlinks. Since I wish to focus only on one-way link building, I will leave out reciprocal linking as another means of generating links. If you are looking to promote your website(s) more aggressively, then you should use all three methods of website promotion. Contributing in relevant forums not only allows you to offer your advice and showcase your expertise, it also grants you the use of a signature footer with backlinks to your website.

Starting your own blog and commenting on other people’s blogs offer similar benefits to forum participation. Perhaps an added bonus to blogging is that this can be combined with social bookmarking to further market yourself and your site. Many visitors use Digg, Delicious, or something similar to bookmark and share their favorite blogs. In doing this, they are supporting your site by giving you a quality backlink from an important site. These links often help to increase your Google PageRank and move up your relevance in the search results.

These are excellent free methods of increasing backlinks to your site. However, article submission to a free article directory offers some additional benefits. Writing articles on topics consistent with your website content, and then submitting them to directories is an excellent promotional strategy. If they are well-written and useful, the articles themselves will circulate around the web as they are reprinted by other webmasters and directories. These articles help to brand your website/company and offer some genuine knowledge to people who want answers.

Unlike blogs and forums, articles are timeless. They are more easily saved, stored, and printed than are blogs and forum posts. Most article directories allow you to include up to three links to your website in the “About the Author” resource box. Here you can choose your anchor text and use your creativity to entice the reader to follow the links to your site. This can not be as easily accomplished with most blogs and forums.

If your articles are approved by some of the bigger article directories, you can gain really valuable one-way backlinks. An established article directory with a homepage PR6 can have article pages with a PR as high as PR2 or PR3. Depending on the number of outgoing links on those article pages, you could greatly benefit from these free one-way, targeted backlinks. Submitting articles frequently on a topic within your niche will allow you to build a body of work online with thousands of targeted links pointing at your web pages.

A final benefit of free article submission not to be overlooked is the ability to deep-link to subpages in your site. Since you can easily change your resource box links with each article you submit, you can target different areas or pages within your site. You can do this once in a while so that your incoming links look organic and unsolicited.

Internet marketing is a dynamic and exciting field that allows anyone with desire and creativity to compete with the big guys. Regardless of how deep your pockets are, article directory submission allows you to promote your site and yourself to an ever-expanding audience. If done correctly and frequently, article submission can help you attain the higher rankings on Google, Yahoo, and MSN that will drive more and more targeted visitors to your site.

Neeraj

There is no other word to the fact that how much back links are important for the optimization of a web site and for getting high PR.

Back links are of three types:

One way links

Two way or Reciprocal Links

Paid Links

Among the three obviously one way links are best for the optimization of a site.

Ways to get One Way Links:

1. Submission to free Directories

One way free links could be get through free Submission into directories that allow one way link submission. Links need to be added only in the relevant categories. Few directories submit link immediately. But most of the directories go for manual review of the site that whether they are relevant to the category stated or not and after review they approve or reject the website.

The duration of the review may range from one week to several months and it normally differs for one directory to another.

High Quality website or directories provide one way links through paid submissions.

2. Social Book-marking Sites

Social Book-marking sites are also known as social networking sites. Registered users can store the links to the web pages that they find useful. They can access the links from anywhere anytime by logging into their account. The links are accessible to other users also in the network and to the public even. Thereby these links help in search engine optimization for the sites also. Other people with similar interests can view the links by category, tags, or even randomly. Some allow for privacy on a per-bookmark basis.

Most social book marking services allow users to search for bookmarks which are associated with given “tags”, and rank the resources by the number of users which have bookmarked them. This helps in drawing a lot of potential traffic to the site.

Social Book marking sites are one of the best sources of getting one way free links to the web pages.

3. Blog Submission

Blog is a web site, where you write stuff on an ongoing basis. New stuff shows up at the top, so your visitors can read what’s new. Then they comment on it or link to it or email you. We can use blogs to let people know about our website. Blogs solves the similar purpose as articles do and are very popular among internet searchers and thus can bring good amount of traffic.

There are a number of blog sites where one can post his blog. And for SEO one can include a link in the blog to direct a visitor to the blog to the web page.

4. Article Submission

Article is posted basically to provide information to the readers. One can provide useful information to the readers usually relevant to the theme of the web site and then tempt the readers to refer the website for more relevant information by providing the link to the web page in the article. A number of good article directories are available where one can post his article for free. Ezinearticles, Article City, etc. are few of them.

Articles have also proved to be a very meaningful resource for getting one way link. With the help of articles a Website owner can draw a good amount of potential visitors to the site.

5. RSS Submission

RSS means Really Simple Syndication. RSS is a group of web feeds used to publish frequently updated content such as blog entries, news headlines, announcements, launch of a new product. An RSS document, which is called a “feed”, “web feed”, or “channel”, contains either a summary of content from an associated web site or the full text. There we can include links to the web site pages for which we want to get one way links.

RSS makes it possible for people to keep up with their favorite web sites in an automated manner which is easier than checking them manually.

The user subscribes to a feed by entering the feed’s link into the reader or by clicking an RSS icon in a browser that initiates the subscription process. The reader checks the user’s subscribed feeds regularly for new content, downloading any updates that it finds.

6. Press Release submission

A Press Release or press statement is a recorded statement for making announcements.

With the help of press releases one can provide important announcements regarding the web site’s information such as launch of new products, services, or news conferences, events, etc.

These press releases could be submitted in Press Release Sites with the link to the web page. Thereby through press release submission also one can get valuable one way links.

Can We Take a Banned Site - No Pages Indexed in Google, Yahoo or Live and Can We Give it Life and PR Rank?

Posted in Search Engine Optimization, SEO, Optimization, Search Engine, Search, Engine, Optimizatio, Directory Submissions, Link Building, Link Development, Directory Submission by on October 27th, 2007No Comments

Can we take a banned site - No pages indexed in google, yahoo or live and can we give it life and PR rank?

That is what is being attempted over at www.

omg-1.com and the big question is can it be done?

Google, Yahoo and MSN Live are such big players in providing traffic the question is can a website survive if the big engines have banned it?

Many sites get banned and even some deserve it. Yet there are many sites who receive a penalty or even a banning and they just dont know why. Most just receive a penalty and that means their site is still in the index but just not ranking well. The site owner just needs to seach for his url and if it is found you are not banned. If you cannot even find your url, well simply put “you’re out!”

But don’t fret as there are ways to get back in, but first you have to appologise to the big G and others and file a reinclusion request. But first I would remove the tactics that got you banned in the first place, remove your hidden text and keyword stuffing.

Back to the experiment

A ten point plan has been placed in effect and it involves the basics like good hosting, good SEO in title and description with good keyword density etc. The big news here is the link building! The plan is that numbers of links will force the engines to take note of the banned domain and push it back into the indexes.

Here are the ten steps:

19 September 2007 -

1. http://www.omg-1.com/ taken off domain parking and hosted at dreamhost.com

2. Site built and Sitemap created and uploaded to google webmaster tools

3. http://www.omg-1.com Creation Date: 01-feb-2007 | 0 links in Google, Yahoo or Live. | 0 indexed pages in Google, Yahoo or Live.

4. As you can see no pages are indexed in any of the search engines. It is a banned domain!

5. Reinclusion request made to google.

6. Write a title and description.

TITLE: That is only 10c for a permanent link pointing to your website!

DESCRIPTION: We will hand submit YOUR Website into 2000 FREE DIRECTORIES with multiple anchor text in both the title and the description for $200 US.

7. Add URL Google | Add URL Yahoo | Add URL MSN Live

8. Add some small blended adsense blocks.

9. Place this information into Website Submitter and start submitting.

10. Be patient!

Expectation? We would like to see the site indexed and in all engines by 19 Nov 2007 | December at latest!

Summary

The most interesting point to check back on is the results of the Website Directory Submission Experiment because the number of indexed pages and numbers of backlinks for the site are fully presented on the site and could be a real testimonial for this type of directory marketing.

Another amazing part of this approach is that it can be done free using all the free website directories. You just need to semi-automate the process a little.

Well good luck with your website SEO development
